Lugh Ildánach 2,352 Report post Posted October 28, 2012 This is the kind of moral courage that we need to see. Simple defiance is amongst our strongest weapons. They cannot put us all in gaol! 1 Fodla32 reacted to this

Fodla32 3,692 Report post Posted October 29, 2012 Resistance is futile - or so they want us to believe Imperialism is back on the rampage - and this time it's desperate. All over the world, we are seeing imperialist powers using extreme force on any and all opposition. The brutal murder of Muammar al-Gaddafi, the obscene celebration of the torture and murder of a POW in the Western media (including RTÉ) was a message. The message was clear. This is the fate of anyone, absolutely anyone, who dares to oppose our power. Ireland has been no different. Actual lynching is kept for the Third World, but here we have psychological lynching. We have seen how a desperately ill woman, Marian Price, has been interned and brutalized. And the British state has not tried to hide their brutality. Far from it. They have pushed their brutality in our faces. The message is clear: If we will do this to a seriously ill women, of nearly pension age, then imagine what we will do to any young healthy person who dares to oppose us. And so, a young woman, Cait Trainor, has now joined Marian Price. Her "crime?" Simply helping to organize a peaceful protest against internment. The message is clear: You will watch the brutalization of your fellow man and women, we will shove it in your face, but you will not dare to even raise your voice in protest. You will simply look on, as a dumb herd animal. 1 Lugh Ildánach reacted to this
