Propaganda if ever I've seen it a chara.

It puts the Triumph of the Will to shame :P

It depends on what you are calling propaganda, a chara. For myself, I am very proud to see Workers reaching such high levels of physical and military skill. The capitalists will think twice about attacking Workers with that amount of discipline and determination. In the West, capitalists can take it for granted that Workers are weak, undisciplined, atomized and lacking in consciousness. They have no fear of pushing people into the gutter with their Austerity measures. They are pretty sure that there will be no effective fight back. Of course, whatever we might think of the National Socialist Party, The Triumph of the Will is an outstanding film, with a great many cinematic merits.

Here's another example of Socialist Realism Im sure you will enjoy:

Everything in the Triumph of the Will happened too.

Well the film wasn't faked I'm sure. Howeve, I highly doubt they prance though hoops that are on fire, roll around on broken glass, break 3 glass bottles with 3 bullets (with a handgun, just to make it even more remarkable), get the sharp side of a sword whacked off their 6 packs (or 8 pack or whatever those beasts have), etc etc.

The regime in North Korea is as corrupt as they come. It's a farce of a regime. I understand that you want to defend it because it claims to be a socialist state, but do you in all honesty think that it benefits the people? We are all socialists here, we have all been converted so to speak. If indeed you don't hold the DPRK in the same regard as Castro's Cuba, Gaddafi's Libya etc then nobody will have a crisis of faith!

Certainly, a chara, I don't feel any need to defend any régime that is corrupt. For example, I will agree without hesitation that the Chinese regime is corrupt to its very core. But to tell the truth, I have never heard of one example of corruption in the government of the DPRK. Could you give me an example? The worst I ever heard was that Kim Jong Il liked Hennessy brandy, and got cases of it shipped over to the DPRK. And I dont even know if thats true. He certainly wasn't a big spender on clothes.
